Die Deutsche Aids-Hilfe hat vor kurzem ihr Positionspapier “HIV-Therapie und Prävention – Positionspapier der Deutschen AIDS-Hilfe e. V.“ vorgelegt.
In diesem Positionspapier geht die DAH nicht nur auf das Statement der EKAF (”keine Infektiosität bei erfolgreicher HIV-Therapie ohne andere STDs“) ein, sondern sie gibt auch zahlreiche Empfehlungen für verschiedenste Situationen und Konstellationen.
Aufgrund des großen auch internationalen Interesses liegt dieses Positionspapier seit 23.04.2009 auch in englischer Sprache vor:

On April 8, 2009 german NGO Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe issued a position paper on HIV therapy and prevention, first in german language (“HIV-Therapie und Prävention – Positionspapier der Deutschen AIDS-Hilfe e. V.“).
This position paper now is available in an english version as pdf „HIV Therapy and Prevention“.
The paper states that
„Transmission during sexual contact without a condom is improbable when the following conditions are met:
– the viral load of the HIVpositive partner has been under detection limit for at least six months,
– antiretroviral medication has been taken consistently,
– the sexual partners have no mucosal defects, e.g. as a consequence of sexually transmitted infections.“
Deutsche Aids-Hilfe regards this statement as „a meaningful and effective supplement to our safer sex messages to date and introduces new possibilities for precvention“.
